Last year, RBG conducted a thorough energy audit on the 120 unit building in Concord, NH. Several energy efficiency opportunities were identified in the audit. The major opportunity identified is the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pump system, which will save an estimated 50% of the building’s annual energy usage. These colossal energy savings are a result of the building being heated with electric baseboard heat. The VRF system provide heating up to 3 and a half times more efficient than the existing electric baseboard heaters.

After extensive analysis and planning, RBG began the installation of the heat pump system in June of 2021. The project is made possible by funding through the NHSaves program, which provides incentive money for energy efficiency projects throughout New Hampshire.
