The AVA 3D Art Studio is a Net-Zero Energy educational facility that is projected to achieve the LEED Gold Certification.  Resilient Buildings Group acted as energy and LEED consultants throughout the entirety of the project.  The building’s design emphasized functionality of both the interior and exterior spaces, as well as, energy efficiency.   

A green roof sits on the the northern-most volume of the structure, which creates an inviting space for students and visitors alike.  The interior spaces are able to serve multiple functions in order to accommodate the many forms of art classes that take place in the building. 

The energy performance of the building was extensively modeled by Resilient Buildings Group throughout design and construction, which allowed for the proper sizing of the renewable energy system.  The photovoltaic panels generate more energy than the building consumes annually, which makes the building Net-Positive Energy.
